This is an early release as we are working to get laser engraving capabilities in house. As such this first batch will be sold blank with an anodized finish.
This is great for folks who have asked for blanks due to different work requirements for equipment etc. The Gen 2 Battery Cap is an upgrade to gen 1 as we are now machining the spacer instead of printing it. We have also made slight dimensional changes that allow this cap to fit ALL optics previous designs worked with. You no longer need 2 different models to fit your variety of optics. There have been several messages to me recently about battery caps, so I am releasing them today. I will be updating and polishing this listing over the next couple of days. Our machining partner has gotten new machines allowing us to reduce the production costs and pass those savings on to you! All left over Gen 1 Caps will go on sale next weekend.
This is a replacement battery cap designed for the Aimpoint T2 and Acro P2 Optics. Designed to replace your OEM cap and allow for you to store a spare battery in the cap. It also does not require a special tool to remove it, thanks to the radius knob design. It is made from 7075 Aluminum and finished with Hardcoat anodized black. This is the most functional spare battery style cap on the market. It not only allows the optic to function without the spare battery present, but the Delrin insert also provides isolation between the two batteries, so you do not need to worry about orienting the spare a certain way to not make contact with the in-use battery.
The gen 2 cap has been redesigned to allow the use with both the T2 and Acro P2 optics. This is done by two different Delrin inserts that are included with every cap. The thinner insert will be used when installing the cap on a Acro P2 and the thicker insert with the attached O-ring will be used when installing the cap on a T2 optic.
The cap assembly includes: the battery cap, T2 insert with O-ring, P2 insert and external sealing O-ring.
Due to the plastic divider design, this cap can be used with or without the spare battery in place. We also added a hole in the plastic divider so that you can see if there is a spare battery present when you remove your cap.
Please note: **While this cap can fit several other optics, it was designed to work specifically for the T2 and P2 optics.
